Oxford Story

An excellent introduction to Oxford, The Oxford Story Exhibition captures the history of the university and the city's 800 year history.

Located within an extensive and historic three storey former book warehouse, and designed by the team which created the Jorvik Viking Centre in York, you can climb aboard Europe's longest indoor 'dark' ride to explore the long life of the university. You encounter the city's 14th century town riots between "town and gown", the Tudor threat to the colleges, and Oxford as the capital of Charles I's realm - right through 800 years of history.

On your journey through the scenes of the university's past, Magnus Magnusson tells of the writers, scientists, politicians and eccentrics who all had a role in the Oxford Story.
