The Gorge leads down to the spectacular 90 ft White Lady waterfall. There's also a deep ravine scooped out by the river as it plunges to a succession of whirlpools including the thrilling Devil's Cauldron. 

This famous gorge on the edge of Datmoor is 1½ miles long and well worth the detour just off the cycle route.
