The high level route has some tough sections with nature adding a few valleys along the high moorland and is more challenging than the alternative Hambleton foothills route. But this is a tougher but more scenic section of the White Rose Cycle Route as you rise high above the moorland, and worth the hard work with the right weather. It also takes in Sutton Bank Visitor Centre which offers a variety of information on the history and geology of the area.
