The Hudson Way.

During the latter half of the 1800's this area known as the Yorkshire Wolds saw the construction of railway cuttings, embankments and tunnels but since then many of the railways have reverted to farmland. The exception is the eleven mile Beverley to Market Weighton railway path which has been kept open and called the Hudson Way after George Hudson, a 19th century railway pioneer.

The current route takes over from the removal of the railway line and sleepers in the 1970's and now gives cyclists and walkers a flat track to tread to Market Weighton from Beverley Station. It's a bit muddy for road bikes at certain times but otherwise an excellent opportunity to cycle though the Yorkshire Wolds safely and scenically.
