The Ouse Valley is a wide, flat plain and it's clear this land needs the protection of the many miles of dykes built alongside the brooding River Ouse. And these country roads are very different to the first half of the route which uses mainly disused railways and off road cycle paths until Doncaster when it changes to countryside cycling.
