Llamas get really irritated at cyclists. Lingering too long. Staring. Taking unnecessary photographs. And you can stumble upon llamas, part of the camel family hence the irritability, on several of the long distance cycle routes (Scottish National Cycle Rote in particular). As well as being good for grazing, farmers have found that they also offer protection against predators - so looking after flocks of sheep, goats, free-range poultry and ducks is their job. And this particular llama was certainly taking its role seriously but was unnecessarily confrontational we thought.
