"Beam me up over this next steep bit, please".
After the climb from Hebden Bridge and up through the lovely village of Heptonstall, the route suddenly transforms itself again and it's 10 miles of fields, farms, valleys, open moorland, craggy escarpments and reservoirs as the route heads towards Colne. It's hard to keep track of things on this ever changing cycle route as the confusion of canals, hills, moorland, towns and canals again in just one day makes the whole route blend into one long journey interrupted only by a few periods of sleep.
