'There are a wide range of measures that are being implemented to encourage cycling in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. These include cycle lanes, off-road cycle tracks, bus lanes, safer routes to school, traffic-calming, secure parking, facilities at the workplace and local safety schemes; together with effective education and cyclist training programmes. We welcome any constructive suggestions as to the routes that you use whilst cycling in the area - particularly quiet routes. Many suggestions have already been received and will be incorporated into future editions of the map as advisory routes.'
