The Brunel Cycle Route

Foldout map with information on the surrounding area and villages along the route.

'The Brunel Cycle Route follows a circuit of quiet country lanes, bridleways and a cycle track along what was once part of the Great Western Railway Line.

'The route combines both on and off-road biking, and is suitable for road bikes and mountain bikes. The off-route sections are not difficult, although Houghton Moor can get wet and muddy after heavy rain - there's an alternative route in these circumstances. There are a few short steep hills, the longest being the climb up to Houghton Moor.'
