route from Uddingston to Raiziehill. Extract:
'This route joins the
National Cycle Network Route 75 just after Uddingston where it enters
into North Lanarkshire. It then heads towards Coatbridge and Airdrie.
The Airdrie to Bathgate railway path is the central section of this
route, following the line of the dismantled railway. Striking
sculptures, including a huge Bedrock Bike and two recycled Calor Gas
Fishermen, can be found all along the route. 'From
Airdrie the route heads towards Plains and Caldercruix Community Park. After Caldercruix the route follows the shores of Hillend
Reservoir, before heading towards Bathgate and Edinburgh.'
