Foldaway pocket maps based on Ordnance Survey mapping with detailed directions of 6 circular cycle routes. Shortcut options.

Route 1
30 miles
'A varied and interesting 30 mile circular ride through some of the best landscape in the north of the Cotswold AONB. The ride takes in valleys, woodland, sweeping views, interesting villages and Chipping Campden, one of the best-preserved towns in Britain.'

Route 2

17 miles
'A hilly route that takes in varied scenery, with the option of visiting historic market towns of Winchcombe, Sudeley Castle, Belas Knap and several unspoilt Cotswold villages.'

Route 3

Northern Circuit 15 miles
Southern Circuit 16 miles

'This is a fairly varied route that could be done as two separate rides, either starting at Bourton-on-the Water or at nearby Lower Slaughter. Besides Bourton-on-the Water, there are various attractions of interest, particularly Sherborne Park and the village (much of which is owned and run by the National Trust). There are several other villages of note and worth al onger look, particularly Lower Slaughter and the quintessentially Cotswold villages of Farmington, Windrush, Great Barrington, Great Rissington and Lower Swell.'

Route 4
30 miles

'This route offers a chance to experience the stunning Cotswold villages known locally as the 'String of Pearls' and offers a rewarding way of discovering some of the loveliest quietly nestled villages as well as great scenery around the Roman town of Cirencester. It is a very attractive route and is relatively easy for the less experienced cyclist.'

Route 5
27 miles
'Lovely quiet and very gentle route around Cirencester, taking in the Cotswold Water Park, Kemble, and the attractive villages of Shorncote, Ewen, Tarlton, Sapperton, Frampton Mansell, Duntisbourne Abbots, and Daglingworth.'

Route 6
35 miles
'This ride is geared towards the more experienced cyclists given the distances involved. The ride starts at Kemble Station, only a few miles from Cirencester, and crosses the County border to join Malmesbury and the Wiltshire Cycleway. It passes through the village of Sherston which is close to Westonbirt - the National Arboretum. The route then takes you through the market town of Tetbury and then some smaller Cotswold villages such as Cherington and Tariton.'
