'A steep climb out of Bollington takes you up into Cheshire's gritstone hill country. Soon you get your first glimpse of Shutlingsloe and its rocky summit which will dominate the view for the next hour or so. Just past Lamaload Reservoir you cross the highest point on the Cycleway at 417m with panoramic views before a descent through Wildboarclough.'
