'The story of the Thame Phoenix: Passenger services between Princes Risborough and Thame ceased in 1963 but freight, particularly oil, continued until 1991. The Thame Phoenix charter train carried passengers for just one Sunday in June 1986 and it seemed possible that more trains might run but this was not to be and the track was finally lifted in the mid 1990's.'
