The elevation profile shows the heights of the northerly direction from Bradford-upon-Avon - the southern choice is easier as it uses the Kennet & Avon Canal. Going via Avebury stone circles is more challenging but the route is still undemanding overall, with the Bradford-upon-Avon to Marlborough offering the only real climbs, and even then, just after Avebury it's just about downhill to Newbury.
